Hi.

I am constantly asked that question, so I’m going to answer it here :-) There are plenty of ways to advertise “quickly”. I do not want to overwhelm you, so I’ll just list a few.

I do not know how far along you are with your advertising know-how, so I’m going to keep this simple for those who are fairly new to advertising.

First, get a business account at the social sites. I cannot emphasize this enough. They are free, they are effective. They are a necessity nowadays, so don’t be “old school” about it. :-) Just get your accounts.

Here is my list of top social sites that I use. I know there are others, but I’m not exactly a pro at social advertising (those who have met me on the social sites know this), so I’m going slow myself. If you are already a “pro” please bare with me. This will teach you patience. lol

1. Twitter — When you sign up please add me http://www.twitter.com/paulafrye

2. Facebook — Sign up and then please add me http://www.facebook.com/pjayefrye

3. Breezy Buzz — Sign up and think about grabbing the gold upgrade. Gold members get a lot more advertising plus can make good commissions. http://breezybuzz.com/?aff=22052

The idea is to join, create your profile (picture of yourself, information about yourself), and slowly start to interact with others. Look at other peoples’ pages, walls, or profiles and see what they are doing. That will give you an idea of how to advertise there.

To blast ads out fast and get clicks fast

I recommend Maryanne Myers’ List Shock. You’ll get plenty of clicks fast. It’s free, but upgrade, because you will be able to send a lot of ads and fast, too. Sign up here: http://www.listshock.com/?go=paulafrye . The upgrades are very affordable (and a one-time fee, too).

I do not have anything written up on how I use the various social sites, but I plan on doing some posts on that. So keep checking back.

I hope to see you on the social websites! Please let me know if you find me :-)

And please don’t miss signing up for Maryanne’s List Shock. You’ll be able to see the clicks you get in real time. It’s extremely effective and so affordable!

Take care,
Paula

Hi,

I know … the answer should be obvious, right? To get traffic to my websites. Duh. lol Well, please humor me and follow me on this one. I really “do” have some very good reasons for using traffic exchanges. And some of them may not be all that obvious to you :-)

For those of you who don’t know what I mean by “traffic exchange” I’ll explain. A traffic exchange (often called TE) is a free place where you visit other peoples’ websites in order to have them visit yours. They have free and pro memberships. Pro members have to visit less websites in order to get visitors to theirs. Plus they get better benefits – like often higher commissions and extra credits if they make a purchase.

My reasons below for using traffic exchanges are not listed in the order of importance. I’ll let you judge which of the reasons are most important to you.

I Use Free Traffic Exchanges because …

1. Traffic Exchanges are targeted to people who “already” make money online or who “want” to make money online. — Every single person who views your website could turn into a sale for you — if not today, maybe sometime in the future. If they are viewing the websites mainly to get credits then they must have something to advertise (and that means they could also like something they see while surfing). If they are viewing the websites because they just want to find something to make money with, then that’s good, too. Either way, they are a potential customer. So no matter WHY they are viewing the websites, they are a highly-targeted prospect.

2. Traffic Exchanges can get your name known fast. — If you have advertised online at all, you have probably noticed that there are some marketers’ names that you see all the time. That is never by “accident”. Marketers who get their name known know that to do so requires time and energy. It doesn’t happen overnight. So use your name! Don’t be afraid to. Put it on splash pages, put it in the subjects of your email ads. Put it everywhere you can think of. The more you use your name the faster people will remember you. The more people who remember you, the more they will pay attention when you advertise something. By advertising on the traffic exchanges you’ll be able to put your name in front of a lot of marketers. And those are the people who are going to pay attention to you. I highly recommend using your name for your username. I’ve made the mistake of “not” using my name before and have always regretted it. If you see the username “paulafrye”, you know it’s me without even thinking about it. And if you see that username a thousand times, there is no way you’re going to forget me :-) I also use “fryeteam” at some websites – not at good as the “paulafrye” username, but it can work.

As a side note, I recommend grabbing the domain name of your name. Once your name is known, many people will go to that domain name to see what all you are doing online. That is excellent branding.

My main page is at paulafrye.com if you are interested in what I’m doing online.

3. Traffic Exchanges can build your social accounts for you. — Some of the TE’s have profiles where you can enter your Twitter, Facebook, etc. usernames. Members who visit your profile can follow you on Twitter, add you as a friend on Facebook, find you on YouTube, etc. My #1 favorite TE does that. I’m listing it at the bottom. Do not miss signing up for it and using it daily. If you are not actively using the social sites yet, a word of advice .. DO! :-) You’ll find extremely targeted traffic there. And you’ll make friends with others who are like-minded. I still feel like a “newbie” in the social arena, so don’t ever think I know everything. lol I’m learning daily just like you are.

4. Traffic Exchanges can help you find like-minded people to follow on the social sites (instead of waiting for them to fine you). — I’m giving this its own number, because I am always actively looking to find like-minded people I can get to know online. At my favorite TE, I visit the profiles of those who comment on my websites I advertise. When I go to their profiles the first thing I do is follow them on Twitter and add them as a friend on Facebook. If they commented on one of my sites I know that they are interested in the same type of opportunities, advertising, etc. Or at least that they are open to learning more about it. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t have commented.

5. Traffic Exchanges enable you to find new opportunities or advertising sources to join. — I have joined a lot of things because I saw it advertised on a traffic exchange. In fact, I’m always looking. I do buy credits from time to time, but I also surf for credits. By visiting other peoples’ websites, I am keeping up-to-date on what is out there. I also pay attention to what websites are listed on members’ profiles. I wouldn’t want to miss the next great thing.

6. Traffic Exchanges are great for list building and also for joining other marketers’ contact lists. — I do both through traffic exchanges. I oftentimes use splash pages that have optin forms attached to them. That adds quality people to my contact list. I also sign up for many peoples’ contact lists while I’m surfing or visiting members’ profiles. I want to be on everyone’s list. If I’m not on yours, write and tell me so I can get on it. Being on your list is valuable to me. It shows me what you are doing and gives me ideas for things to sign up on. Don’t underestimate the importance of having a contact list. If you don’t have one yet, start building it today! Here’s a list-building website where you can create instant signup forms like the one here (this is my son, Jordan’s, link. He’s a new Internet Marketer): Click to build a list.

7. Traffic Exchanges are fun! — Advertising can become boring if you keep doing the same exact thing every single day. Surfing some traffic exchanges keeps it exciting. They are very interactive and personal.

So there you have it. 7 reasons I use free traffic exchanges. I’m sure I could come up with more reasons, but that is enough to show you why I think they are so important.

Here is a traffic exchange that you must join and must surf. It is extremely fun and effective. It is a social traffic exchange, and there is a chat that runs while you are visiting the websites. Members are paying close attention to each site they visit. I simply can’t recommend it highly enough. Plus it’s run by Jon Olson. If you have been online much you have probably heard his name. He knows what he is doing, and this place is extraordinary.

Sign up today, add a website, surf as many websites as you can, and start getting views to your websites.

It’s called Sweeva, and it’s a must-join as far as I’m concerned. Here’s the link: Sweeva signup.

I hope to see you there!

Paula
